"How can you hesitate? Risk! Risk anything! Care no more for the opinion of others, for those voices. Do the hardest thing on earth for you. Act for yourself. Face the Truth."
Katherine Mansfield.
"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart."
Helen Keller
Fears about Art making fall into two families: fears about yourself, and fears about your reception by others. In a general way, fears about yourself prevent you from doing your best work, while fears about your reception by others prevent you from doing your own work.

When I get to heaven, I mean to spend a considerable portion of my first million years in painting. But then I shall require a still gayer palette than I get here below. I expect orange and vermilion will be the darkest, dullest colours upon it, and beyond them, there will be a whole range of wonderful new colours which will delight the celestial eye.
